The Hermann Grid Illusion

This optical illusion is called the Hermann Grid illusion as it was first reported by Ludimar Hermann in 1870. The illusion works because the black squares work with the white lines to trick your eyes into thinking there are grey blobs appearing in the white spaces at the corners of each square.
